Patricia, a master tutor, graduated with a B.A. in Teaching Students with Disabilities with a focus in Psychology and an M.A. in Reading and Literacy, and she holds both a P–3 teaching certification and a Special Education certification for Students with Disabilities. Orton‑Gillingham trained, Patricia brings 11 years of experience working with young learners and specializes in using multi‑sensory teaching approaches to support developing readers. She believes learning should be fun and engaging, incorporating hands‑on activities and creative techniques to maximize each student’s learning experience. Known for her resourcefulness, energy, and empathy, Patricia designs individualized plans that foster confidence, skills, and a love of learning. Her extensive knowledge of instructional practices and patient approach make her a trusted guide for students in elementary math, English, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and creative writing. Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
