Amy, a master educator, has nearly 20 years of experience working with children with special needs and is highly skilled in teaching struggling readers. She holds a B.A. in Family and Child Studies and an M.A. in the Art of Teaching, is certified in Special Education, and trained in the Orton‑Gillingham approach. Amy is experienced in developing and implementing IEP goals to enhance student achievement and collaborates closely with teachers, child study teams, and parents to support students with autism, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges. Known for her kindhearted and empathetic nature, she designs hands‑on lessons and differentiates instruction to meet the unique needs of each child, fostering confidence, growth, and a lifelong love of learning.

Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Whether you’re looking for help with grade school reading comprehension, AP Biology, college level statistics, foreign language or any other academic subject, Teacher Tutors has a tutor standing by.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
