What “vetted” actually means at Teacher Tutors
Families often ask how we know a tutor is truly qualified. Our answer is process: multiple checkpoints, consistent criteria, and a culture where “good enough” is not good enough when children are involved.
Screening covers academic fit, teaching presence, and safety. We verify identity and employment history, run comprehensive background checks suited to in-home and youth-facing work, and confirm that tutors understand expectations for professionalism with families.
We decline many strong-on-paper applicants who are not the right fit for private, in-person work with students. That selectivity is intentional—it is how we keep quality high and reputations intact.
