Kenya, a master educator, holds a B.A. in Communications from Ramapo College of New Jersey, a K–5 Teaching Certificate from Montclair State University, a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) endorsement, and a Master’s degree in Special Education. Since 2011, she has worked with students from preschool through fifth grade, gaining extensive experience supporting diverse learners with varying abilities, learning styles, and backgrounds. Currently teaching 3rd grade in Newark, NJ, Kenya creates an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and growth. Her teaching philosophy centers on meeting each student where they are, differentiating instruction to fit individual needs, and integrating proven best practices such as Reader’s and Writer’s Workshops, Guided Reading, Number Talks, and interactive learning materials. Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.
