Alexandra, an expert tutor, earned her bachelor’s degree in Theatre from Fairleigh Dickinson University with double minors in Literature and British Studies, bringing energy and creativity from her acting background into her instruction. She later received her master’s degree in Education and is certified to teach secondary English in New Jersey. Well versed in literature from America, England, and around the world, Alexandra has extensive experience tutoring SAT and ACT English, Reading, and Essay sections, as well as the reading section of the ISEE. She has guided countless students in brainstorming and crafting strong college admissions essays, with all of her students gaining acceptance to their desired schools. With deep knowledge of grammar, essay structure, and one‑on‑one writing support, Alexandra helps students build confidence and lasting skills in English and writing. She chose tutoring because she values creating a comfortable, personal learning environment where students can grow academically and develop skills that will benefit them throughout life.

Teacher Tutors offers talented teachers and tutors that fit into two different qualification tiers; Master Educators and Expert Tutors. Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Teacher Tutors is the easiest way to find a classroom teacher or a seasoned tutor to come to your home to tutor. We have tutors that can assist with all grade levels and subjects. Whether you’re looking for help with grade school reading comprehension, AP Biology, college level statistics, foreign language or any other academic subject, Teacher Tutors has a tutor standing by.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
