Heather, a master educator, holds a B.A. in Psychology and an Elementary Teaching Certification earned in 1997, bringing over 10 years of teaching experience across grades K–6 in several Bergen County school districts. She supports early readers and upper elementary students alike, helping them develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning, and has also worked as an in-school support professional from Pre-K through high school. Heather’s approach is rooted in patience, understanding, and encouragement, using her background in psychology to tailor lessons to each student’s individual needs. Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and inspiring young learners to reach their fullest potential.

Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Teacher Tutors is the easiest way to find a classroom teacher or a seasoned tutor to come to your home to tutor. We have tutors that can assist with all grade levels and subjects. Whether you’re looking for help with grade school reading comprehension, AP Biology, college level statistics, foreign language or any other academic subject, Teacher Tutors has a tutor standing by.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
