Mark, a master educator, holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University, an M.A. from Georgetown University, and is a Ph.D. ABD in English and American Literature from Temple University, bringing over 25 years of experience teaching college English, writing, and the SAT verbal section. He currently teaches English and writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University, County College of Morris, and Raritan Valley Community College, combining high academic standards with a supportive, student-centered approach. Mark is dedicated to helping students achieve excellence while fostering a collaborative and encouraging learning environment. Outside the classroom, he is a fitness enthusiast, avid runner, and passionate about social service and volunteering.

Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Whether you’re looking for help with grade school reading comprehension, AP Biology, college level statistics, foreign language or any other academic subject, Teacher Tutors has a tutor standing by.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
