Nina, a master tutor, earned her B.A. in English with a minor in Secondary Education from William Paterson University and later received her M.A. in Special Education from New Jersey City University. With 22 years of classroom experience, 17 teaching high school English and 5 teaching middle school, she continues to inspire students through personalized tutoring that draws on her wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and proven teaching strategies. Nina is highly skilled in English, reading, and test preparation, with a record of success in helping students improve their performance in SAT English, ACT English and Reading, PSAT, PARCC, essay writing, revising, editing, proofreading, critical reading, vocabulary, and grammar. She is an expert in strategic instructional planning, adept at differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and also assists students with study skills, organization, homework support, college applications, Accuplacer, and personal statements. Energetic, flexible, and deeply committed to student growth, Nina works effectively with learners of all backgrounds to raise grades, boost test scores, and build confidence. Outside of tutoring, she enjoys working out, attending plays in New York City, watching movies, and traveling.
