Nina, a master tutor, earned her B.A. in English with a minor in Secondary Education from William Paterson University and later received her M.A. in Special Education from New Jersey City University. With 22 years of classroom experience—17 teaching high school English and 5 teaching middle school—she continues to inspire students through personalized tutoring that draws on her wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and proven teaching strategies. Nina is highly skilled in English, reading, and test preparation, with a record of success in helping students improve their performance in SAT English, ACT English and Reading, PSAT, PARCC, essay writing, revising, editing, proofreading, critical reading, vocabulary, and grammar. She is an expert in strategic instructional planning, adept at differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and also assists students with study skills, organization, homework support, college applications, Accuplacer, and personal statements. Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
