Tutor Bio
Patricia, a master educator, graduated Summa Cum Laude with an M.A. in Education from St. Peter’s University and holds a B.A. in Biology from SUNY Purchase. Before becoming a teacher, she spent 10 years working in the veterinary field after completing a year of veterinary school at Ross University, giving her a strong foundation in both science and education. With six years of teaching experience, Patricia currently works with at‑risk students who have learning disabilities and is known for her enthusiasm, positivity, and creative teaching style that makes complex topics clear, relatable, and engaging. She holds a Lifetime Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing as a Teacher of Biological Sciences and has taught middle school math, science, chemistry, and laboratory skills, while currently teaching anatomy and physiology, biology, and animal science, her favorite subjects. As a tutor, Patricia specializes in pre‑algebra, middle school science, biology, anatomy and physiology, study skills, and executive function coaching, and she also enjoys helping students with college applications and strategies for academic success. Outside the classroom, Patricia coaches cheerleading, snowboards, and spends time with her Persian cat, Romeo, bringing the same energy and care to her personal life as she does to her teaching.
