Luz, a master tutor, holds a Master’s degree in Bilingual/Bi-cultural Education and English as a Second Language, with extensive experience teaching students across all grade levels and learning abilities. She currently teaches second grade, using a multi-sensory, individualized approach to help students grow academically and personally, strengthening skills in reading, writing, and math through compensatory learning techniques, cognitive remediation, and effective study strategies. Luz’s patient and supportive teaching style fosters confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning, creating an inspiring environment where every student is empowered to reach their fullest potential.

Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Whether you’re looking for help with grade school reading comprehension, AP Biology, college level statistics, foreign language or any other academic subject, Teacher Tutors has a tutor standing by.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
