Marjorie, a master educator and certified teacher, earned her bachelor’s degree from SUNY at Stony Brook and brings 25 years of experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional. She works one‑on‑one and in small groups, providing both support and enrichment across all areas of elementary education, specializing in reading, writing, and early math. An experienced and versatile tutor, Marjorie has guided students from pre‑K through fifth grade, carefully considering each child’s unique learning style to ensure they are not only learning but thriving academically. Known for her thoughtful and patient approach, she helps students build confidence, skills, and a love of learning. Outside of teaching, Marjorie enjoys walking, reading, and cooking, bringing the same warmth and care to her personal interests as she does to her work with students.

Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
